MLB Season Total Wins (Over/Under) Betting Rules

Over/Under bets on the total number of games a team will win during the regular season apply exclusively to regular-season games and do not include playoff games or wild card tiebreaker games.

The wager will be settled as soon as the outcome is definitively determined. For instance, if the team exceeds or fails to meet the set win total before the conclusion of the full schedule, the wager will be graded accordingly, regardless of any remaining games.

However, if fewer than 160 games are played in the regular season, and the unplayed games could potentially affect the outcome of the wager, the bet will be declared void and graded as no action. In such cases, the original stake will be refunded.

For example:

  • If a team’s win total is set at 89.5 and they achieve 90 wins before the season ends, the Over bet will be graded as a winner, and the Under bet will be graded as a loss.
  • If the season is shortened and the unplayed games leave the possibility of the wager's outcome undecided (e.g., the team has 89 wins with 5 games canceled), all wagers on the total wins will be void.
